THE LOCAL COLLECTIVE

Celebrating South Australian producers of all things amazing and bridging the gap between creator and consumer. This café and retail space is a platform for local farmers, brewers, coffee roasters, chefs, artists, designers, jewellers, candle makers, ect, ect. The go-to spot for anybody who values the importance of supporting local.

Following the grid system of the original interior, the configuration has been designed in such a way so that people are encouraged to stop and stay. Retail items can catch the eye of café patron’s as they make their way to the platform dining area.

Paired back materials and heavy set joinery work to create a backdrop for the bright, eclectic products on display while sympathizing with the existing marble walls. The Mezzanine houses a semi-private space where retailing creatives can host workshops to supplement income.
