Opaque, is a cocktail bar and glass blowing workshop featuring a retail store, which aims to address social interaction whilst promoting sustainability. The design considers the 24 hour cycle, through the creative direction of transparency, targeting literal translucent materials and experimental translucent focusing on a sensual experience. The translucent layers integrate the outside community as one shared experience. Volumes and planes of a grid pattern engage a moving transition, whilst the mirrored glass and steel frames play with reflection, creating an open convivial transition between each private and public zone. Opaque, a place to gather, share and connect.
