Essence, the ultimate fusion of fashion and gin.

The hybrid interior consists of a women’s fashion boutique and gin bar that source local South Australian brands. The brands are combined through their emphasis on local manufacturing and production, as well as their collaboration of locally sourced botanicals used within gin recipes, which act as a muse for the fashion label’s designs. This idea is further explored in the design of the space taking inspiration of native botanicals and a “free flowing, drapery style” philosophy.

Essence successfully achieves conviviality through its diverse use of the space, promoting social sustainability by boosting face to face interactions, and therefore encouraging economic sustainability.
