Hybridity is the mechanism we use to achieve conviviality. I have explored how to successfully create a convivial space combining a cellar door with a fashion retail and exhibition space to create a new and exciting design for the city of Adelaide to enjoy. I have done this in hopes of boosting economic sustainability in Adelaide’s CBD by promoting growth in the fashion industry as well as growth in winemaking in the city centre. Fashion and wine are both very opinionated topics so why not put them in the same room and explore the use of tactile and sensorial engagement through them. In three words I would describe the space that I have created as alluring, enticing and seducing.
