Station on William is a combined sushi train and library that aims to bring people together through food and information. Humans love to gather and socialize, two main ways to do this is to converse over a meal or learn new ideas and theories. The middle joinery piece was designed to make it obvious that the two activities should be done together. Both sushi trains and book return trains move through this joinery piece createing interesting moments where the trains intertwine. Having all these activities occur on this joinery piece that extends to the outer walls makes the space convivial.
