Traditionally, Venice has always been a city significant in the global trade industries due to its strategic position on the shores of the Adriatic Sea and along the silk road. Based on the 2021 Venice Biennale’s question “How will we live together?”, the Centro Innovanzione Trasport Venezia aims to create a collaborative platform for research and the development of transport. Whether that means transportation of people, imports/exports, or experimenting with futuristic ways of water transport, this research facility will be fully dedicated to bringing about a new way of moving.

Furthermore, situated alongside the Innovation Centre, the Reading Room aims to provide a similar experience for children aged 7-12. With the opportunity to learn and experiment with alternative methods of water transportation in an inviting and engaging space.
