A small confronting first step onto the Reflect experience. Angular bronze walls intersects forming a narrow burrow between them, pushing visitors through a space designed to expand someone towards mental awareness. Intended to bring the conscious mind into play and prepare viewers for a mentally demanding experience. A brief transition space with wide floor plates stacked together creates a moment for sitting and preparation for the long trail ahead. To the east of the bronze wall a large space is stretched out with a connecting road to the machine and mortuary in the distance, the first step for many of the permanent residents on the island.
